markboulton I’ve had a related thought for a while: tables > floats > flexbox > CSS grid What _actually_ changed for the user? The biggest (and maybe only significant) step was definitely from tables to floats, when the HTML became semantic. The rest are primarily developer convenience...On twitter.com
